Bring your horse and explore the wide-open spaces of Mt White Station. Take a multi-day tour and stay at our remote huts or camp out under the stars like our Station founders did back in 1857.
ACCOMMODATION
Mt White Station’s Accommodation is designed to reflect the shared nature of High country living but far more luxurious.
The Shearers' Quarters has two private twin/king ensuite rooms with the remaining rooms being a mix of four or six person ‘bunk rooms’ with shared bathroom facilities.
The six-person rooms have two double beds and two single upper bunk beds.
The four-person rooms have four singles.
All our rooms have large beds with luxurious bedding and modern fittings with plenty of space for everyone to store their personal belongings.
Make use of the entire lodge with an exclusive booking for a group of up to 28 people.
Beyond the Shearers Quarters, Mt White Station also offers new modern backcountry huts, which lend themselves to being used as day lodges for more remote activities and exploration of the station.

DINING
Welcome to the Cookshop
Group dining is relaxed, enjoying an authentically High country menu prepared by our resident cook. Morning and afternoon tea are provided; you can also arrange one of our rustic picnic hampers for your team to enjoy while exploring the breath-taking backcountry. There is a small kitchen within the Shearers Quarters for the preparation of breakfast and light snacks throughout the day.
(We will, of course, cater to any special dietary requirements when advised.)

GETTING HERE
From Christchurch it is a scenic, easy two hour drive along The Great Alpine Highway SH73 (or train journey on the TranzAlpine) with an easy 25 minute gravel road journey through the station to the Station farm. Note the station road has three small fords and is best suits to AWD vehicles.
Alternatively, sit back and relax and let us take care of your transport needs; an Airport or a train station pickup can be arranged in our Mercedes-Benz Unimog, offering a great start to your unique experience.
